I am honored to be a participant in the Hiroshima & Nagasaki 75 online event streaming 30 hours of content by a broad diversity of people and groups who have been affected by or are commenting on the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and also the 2,000 nuclear weapon tests, widespread contamination from nuclear production and nuclear accidents. Please join the event live, or learn about events near where you live. You can learn all about this at the Hiroshima/Nagasaki75 website

I was asked to make a 15 minute contribution to the event. Here is the video that I made, which will be streamed online at 14:15 EST on August 6th.

Please take some time in this year of the 75th anniversary and reflect on those who have suffered from nuclear weapons, nuclear technology and radiation exposures. I will be involved in other online events during these weeks of commemoration, including a webinar with Norma Field and Yuki Miyamoto titled: Managing Nuclear Memory in the Age of COVID-19: The Journey from Hiroshima to Fukushima, moderated by Kyle Cleveland and the ICAS Program of Temple University of Japan. A live event featuring dialogue with and music by DJ Spooky. And a conversation with Joy Walsh about peace and Hiroshima on her YouTube channel on August 4th. Details about these events will be posted here in the next week, and on the Global Hibakusha twitter account.
